Retouching Work

Image
For this project, we played around with different retouching effects on pictures. I choose a picture of my dog and pizza, because they are my favorite things. First, I took the lasso tool and outlines the picture that I wanted to retouch. After, I went to image, adjustments, then I went to hue/saturation. I played around with the different hues and saturations for my pictures. I made the pizza's different neon colors, and then I made the dog black and white.

Layer Masks

In this project, I decided to incorporate Greece into my project. Greece is one of my favorite places to visit in the Summer. The dimensions of this project is 12 by 12, the PPI is 150, and the color mode is RGB. I choose 3 images that I wanted to use for the projects. I made the different layers by using the layer masks tool, then I made it say "Hide All". After I used the brush tool to incorporate the sunset into the picture, and I used different sized brushes to make sure that I got into the tiniest spaces. After, I started to brush in the ocean, and I used different sized brushes for this too. Then, I brought seashells into the picture. I used the magnetic lasso tool, and I cropped out the seashell. I pasted it into the picture, and I made sure the ocean layer was covering a little part of the seashell.

Independent Driven Composition

Before I started this project, I wanted to do something baseball related. Ever since I could remember, baseball has been apart of my life. We watched it, and preached everything about the sport. I attended many baseball games with my family. In this project, I used the lasso tool to crop out my images, and put them onto the background. I also worked with the different layers to make different images stand out more than others. I also included a shadow of Alex Rodriguez on the field. He used to be my favorite baseball player when I was younger. I wanted to include a shadow of him as a tribute to baseball. I also included some of the food that is commonly eaten at the stadium.

Altered Images

This project was about becoming more familiar with the different aspects of photoshop. We first had to add the borders and create the template. We had to do dimensions for the altered images. After we made the borders, we picked out three pictures to feature in our project. When we found the pictures we wanted to use, we put them in a seprate document and cropped them 6 by 6. After we cropped them, we put the picture in the respective location. After, I played with the different filters for the pictures. I pixelated the dog, I added noise to the pizza, and I embossed the rose. I enjoyed playing around with the different filters in photoshop.
